I think that my favourite post was when I had to write about a birthday or celebration that I remember, cause I never think about my celebrations or birthday and how special have been

When we have to write a post about an online english class app, cause obviously we have to invent opinions and things to write, realy i thing that we have to write things about that we like, or memories, vacations or things that we like to do in the future.

DO YOU THINK YOU ENGLISH IMPROVED BECAUSE OF THE BLOG? WHY?
I thing that improved my fluency and how to say many things in different tenses. Cause we have to write quickly and explain some things

 I think that the things that we did some weekend, or remember a celebration or birthday and the post of vacation that we remember, because was interesting known about the classmate and the teacher.

Bye Bye 2016

Hi Enlish class

Today near of the christmas day I going to Write a little about my year.

sincerely, I think that 2016 was a regular year, a change and increase personally year, I had bad and good moments but nothing terrible, 2016 was a year of superation and effort.

In January after the class, I went with my family to La Serena and stay many days in the beach or went around near the city, like vicuña, the Mamalluca observatory or the Elqui Valley and in february I went to Punta Arenas, Puerto Natales y The National Park Torres del Paine, where I have to had a superation with my phisical and emotional state, having a conection with me and superation.

Since march, in the unversity and in the sport area I learned more and have good experiences with my marks and the participation in competitions. other thing that I did much was saw series, I remember that this year I saw Stranger Things, Dexter, Narcos, Better Call Saul, Orange is the New Black, Game of Thrones and  I begining to see the walking dead now, and have a list of series that i have to see like River, Westworld or Mr Robot.

 In the job aspect, I work much as never in my life jajaj and was a moved year around the city, but I don't save much money because I have to spend in some things, gifts or dates or dinners with my family, friends, boyfriend, etc.

I think that my life in this year it was very active, I went to class every day early, later I went to work and the last of the day I went to train or play some university competition, for this, I think that I am so tired now jajaja because I get up every day at 6.00 am and go to bed at 1.00 or 2.00 am and doing many things in the day. But every that I did in the year was good, and come back good things too. The effort was rewarded and gives me many things in what to think, and grow up like a person, for know the valor of the things the people do too.

I hope that 2017 will be a good year for everyone.

A ONE ON ONE CONVERSATION WITH...

Today I going to write about someone who I like to have a one on one conversation but I don't really know with who, for this I write some people or characters that i really want have a conversation and asking some things.

The first person that I like to have a one on one conversation is Gabriel García Marquez, why? cause was a great writer, his books are amazing and I love his novels with the colonel Aureliano Buendía, how he interlaced his novels and characters and the difficult that he put in his books. The first time when I heard about him was when I was little by mi aunt and I read some of his books and later almost every, more than once. 

The other person that I like to have a conversation is an character of the serie Breaking Bad, rather three characters, Heisenberg, Saul Goodman and hank, brother in law of Heisenberg or his name on the serie Walter White. 

Why these people? Because it's really fantastic how they stay in a stress moment all his life, Walter White was a father of family and for a disease he change his view of the world and the things that are good or not, he use his knowledge for making drugs and live a life surrounded of death, money, bad people and arms. For other place, the lawyer Saul Goodman, who live a life defending bad people and integrating on a life of Walter White, many times in danger but the money is more strong.

And the end we have to Hank, the brother in law of Walter White who is an DEA (Drug Enforcement Administration) officer and for many time never suspect abour Water and his business of blue methamphetamine and asking him how live cheated so long

well, I have more people who I like to asking some things, but Gabriel is the first in my list, cause I like to asking about the language, his books and the orthography think that he had. The other people or characters are in this post cause I think that are amazing characters of an amazing serie that I saw like a three times.

The most interesting subject this semester

Hi English class

Today I'm going to write about a subject of this semester that I think is more interesting. That subject is Geomorphology.

Geomorphology is a subject relationated with the study of the formation and the evolution of practically the earth, with his processes and theories about the ages and the changes on the earth about a million of years ago and the present too.

My teacher is Maria Victoria Soto, and I think that is a good teacher, she knows many about the subject and is very histrionic for doing the class, then you stay writing notes or pay attention all the class.

I have this class  tuesday morning's until the 13.30 p.m. and the last class and the next class we have a tearrain study, we went to Farellones last tuesday and the next we will gone to Melipilla- San Antonio.

I think that the subject is interesting because I like known about the formations, and how was formed the places where we live, the mountains, the fluviomarine terraces, the rivers courses, and obviously the glaciers and the procceses that had to happen for the earth be like now and the proccesses that are happen now with his changes for the future and then... is a chain of causes and consequences.

Well, this is the area that I want study and to develop like an professional in a near future, cause since I was little I was interested in this kind of disciplines going a paleontology course when I was a child, then is all relacionated and now I realize that.

for another part, Geomorphology is very important for any geographer, if you dedicate for a phisical geography or social, you have to understand the processes of the earth and specially in Chile, cause is a country with many changes and bad planification of the people. We have to know this subjects for change the risk of our friends and the chilean people.

A Hobby

Today I will wrote about a hobby that I have... or had.

Now a days my hobby is play handball, all my life I have done sports, but  I never practice one like an semi professional, at least in Chile, the level like an professional is the pleople who stay in the national team, and sometimes receive remuneration for that, but they have work and study too, cause here is really hard dedicate to play sports professionally. But well, the sport always was my hobby, when I was a child, I was cheerleader in the "mini pomp" category, later I was in the biggest categories until fifth grade, later I played basketball two years, swam three years, played tennis for four years (sometimes I play with friends or boyfriend) and now I train and play handball six or four days per week (really is my hobby) and I really love it, almost all my free time is for that (if I don't have to work or study).

The other part of my hobbys are the photograph and the paint, In the summer i really like painting I doing this since I was five or six years old and I love give them away, I think that is more apreciable a gift made by me than bought any thing. The photograph is an hobby that I leave a little for others things, but sometimes I trate take a walk taking pictures. To resume a little the photograph I  take a course of photography, his name is "Experimental Photography" where you learn differents kinds of photo development and some techniques.

A Birthday or Celebration

Today I will wrote about a birthday that I remember. 

The truth is when told me 'remember a birthday' I remember many of them, cause I think I don't like celebrate that but always end up celebrating two or three times, then as they are not planned, always have a nice stories or I saw people who I didn't see for many time. 

But one of my differents birthdays was when I was fifteen and my parents bought to me a ticket for a Franz Ferdinand concert. It was a chaos.  On this year was the earthquake and my parents had afraid of the place where had been the concert and say that the band doesn't come to Chile.

Finally they came to Chile and I went to the concert in march 13th (a day before my birthday). I went with a friend but in the middle of the crowd we separate and finally y stayed alone all the concert, but it doesn't matters. The concert was great and I stayed close to the band, I carried my camera then I have many pictures and videos and I was really happy with my birthday present. 

The other day was my birthday and my sister's birthday (we borned the same day, but in different years) when we were singing happy birthday with the family and friends, the power went out and we have a dark brithday, then we passed the rest of the day eating, talking and laughing in the candlelight.

something I do last weekend

The last weekend I don't sleep and that I happening account... On Friday after university at night I went to a familiar dinner, on Saturday one of my best friends comes to Santiago from Temuco for the weekend and we went  to shopping, drunk some good drink and went to dance with others friends, on Sunday I went to a 3rd birthday costume party and then went to the airport picking up my aunties who stayed in machupichu last week, On Monday i went to my boyfriend's house and then went to a costume party really fun and on Tuesday I slept almost all day.

On a costume party i saw funny costumes like a "sock with rhombus man" of "31 minuts" or "Oblina" of "Aaahh! real monsters", personally we don't have many time and I did a makeup of skull face to me and my boyfriend with formal clothes and he with a top-hat and a leopard makeup for my friend of temuco who went with animal print clothes.

All that I can say is that i don't want to eat more, cause in every place with my friends or boyfiend ate many superb things and I think that is so much, but I felt really good on the weekend and was really fun and we had a great time, I think too that now I cannot go out many continuous days, cause now the only thing that I want is sleeeeep so so so so so much.

Strange Days On Planet Earth

today I'm going to write about a question make by my teacher, this is about the climate change what I think about this process and if this is natural or speeding for the human action.


Ok, seeing all that I know, some things learned in class I think that the climate change is a natural process, along the years the earth goes through different processes and climate ages.

Is known the earth now stay in a holocene, where it has high temperatures and the glaciers or the reserves of water begin to dry up, melt or simply disappear. But the human action accelerate this process whit their contamination and destruction of the nature.

All of this are processes of thousands and thousands of years, going by very cold and ice climates and how now, in holocene process with hot and dry climates and we stay in that time when occur this things, like the people who will live in 10.000 years, they will have to pass to another processes where in the case of chile by the south many snow and ice lands, and the north many rains and low temperatures.

Whatever,  I think that the only option to make this process more friendly is taking care with our planet, our home and our unique habitat, cause if destroy our planet, we destroy us.

A Book

How you found out about it,

Why you like it.

Today i will wrote about a book that i recommend. 

The truth is I don't read a novel for many time (I think since the last year vacations) and I feel a little shame cause I've given importance to another things... but now going to talk about the last book that I was read in my vacations in Constitucion. This book is "La Sombra del Viento" or in english "The Wind's Shadow" of the spanish author Carlos Ruíz Zafón.

The book was bought by my aunt in a market in Perú. Since that travel the book are in a shelf on my aunt's house... some day I saw it and I asked for it. The tipically questions like "How is?", "Why she bougth that book?", "What is it about?" or "If she already read it?"  All the answers weren't that I expected so I thank in take the book and read it. 

The Wind's Shadow is about a boy who found a book in a "cementery of forgotten books" with an author who never listened. On the way the boy grow up and he try since have this book investigate the author and why all his books has been burned.

 

It's an suspence and interesting novel published in 2001. I hope that you can read someday...

Holiday that I remember

Hi english class,

Today I'll wrote about a holiday that I remember and enjoyed so so much.

My parents always try to go to differents places, principally arround our country: Chile. But, a trip that I remember always when I have to talk about my holidays is when I went to the region of Aysén, (that his name is where the ice ends "ice end") to an lakeshore village named 'Puerto Rio Tranquilo' ubicated in a General Carrera lake (the biggest lake who are in two countries). 

Well, why is so important to me? 

That is cause I went with all my family (seven people) and we walked on the glaciers!!! But that is not at all, we have many adventures in this place and visit many villages around the lake too. 

In our stay, we travel by boat, saw cougar, walked on glaciers, did rafting on the baker river, visit the marble cathedrals (and walking on), saw the confluence of rivers neff and baker and so much other activities and some funny accidents that are in our minds and we remember forever. 

I think the thing that i enjoyed most is stay all my family together in a beautiful and wonderful place, meeting with amazing people and how whe dont have signal in our phones, have the obligation to have family time. 

The landscapes that you can see in that place, make that you want live there.

Today I’ll wrote about an online English class

The app it’s simple, you can log in via google or Facebook and create an account, then you choose the courses that you want learn (you can find many courses of different languages) and start to learn, only you have to be constant.

 The methodology it’s very simple: the app repeat one and another time a group of words for each level and you have to listen, write and select the correct answer. You count with audios, videos and it's dinamic and easy to learn, also you know already if your answer is good or not. Finally, the words are inside of your mind because you repeat, listen and write all the time.

The app is really nice, it’s comfortable and easy to use, when you finished each level, Show you an evaluation of your answers and pun in a ranking with all another users.

Personally, I choose the course 4 and 7 because I not sure of select the next, but it’s really easy to learn phrases and words.

I think that is a really good tool for earning a language, whatever that you want; how I say at the beginning of the post, you only have to be constant and login and practice every day a few time it’s fine.

Long Weekend

Hi Bloggers,

Today I’ll wrote about my long weekend and what I do.

My weekend started on the Friday morning after to go out of class. I so really tired then I arrived to my place and slept a lot.

When my parents arrived to my home, we ate pizza and drank mojitos watching the Olympic Games.

The Saturday started early but now I don’t remember why, in the afternoon I went out with my puppy and brought to the saloon (and now looks like a skinny and ugly biiiiiiig mouse), watched handball match and went to cinema to watch Neruda’s film with my parents.

Sunday started with was going to the supermarket to bought the week things and food. Then I went to my boyfriend’s place, cause his family made a “Fonda”. It’ was because his sister come back to España and she didn’t have a “Dieciocho” party. Then we ate a lot of Chilean plates like empanadas, meat brochettes, drank “terremotos”, danced cueca and the only thing out of the Chilean party was watched the Olympic games and specially the tennis match with Del Potro and Andy Murray and obviously the career of Usain Bolt. The day ended so late but was so funny.

For the end of my long weekend I stayed at home all the Monday, study a little bit, I did things for the university and watched an old TV series in Netflix called Dexter. Really, I enjoyed all my long weekend cause I did all the thing that I want in this moment.

Review

Hi English class

Today I have to review one of the classmate blogs and this is of: Cayetana Bustamante.

Her blog is named ‘fandabudetoga.blogspot.com’ and her headline is ‘_Cabeza de tunA_’, it has written 7 post since the class started.

Her page design have many colors and an image background with flowers, birds and different bugs; for writing the background is black and the text white and green. I think that the blog is really interesting by the kind of writing and the pictures that are in there.  All her post have an image, gif or video that they do to call attention and in total are twelve.

The post I chose is the last published, his headline says ‘My favorite Subject’ and have 278 words. It talk about a subject she like to study, why she choose these subject (geology), the inspiration and enthusiasm of his teacher -Rodrigo Rauld- for teach this science and his experience with the volcanoes and rocks.

I chose this post cause for me is interesting, funny and a topic that I really like too since I was a little child.

How are u Geo-readers?

Hope ur fine, cause I will wrote today about something u love... STUDY (jejej)

Have  u realized that when u like some subject it's easier take the notebooks and started reading? I think we are loosing (WW) the sense of study to learn something new and interesting, maybe cause we don't really questioning what we want and love do.

It's not easy decided which subject I prefer, I really like cultural geography (my humanistic face) but I think since I have Geology, in my first semester, I learned something that previously I had no idea. The teacher - Rodrigo Rauld- It's really enthusiastic and with a lot of energy to teach something he really love. Besides we had two field trips, one of them (and the first one) to Cajón del Maipo. It's was beautiful cause was the first time that I started seeing the landscapes with another eyes: understanding their processes and morphology. On the other hand, since I have memory I collected rocks... so now I could understand which kind of rock I have.

The volcanism it's also something that transtorned (WW) me, I remember when I was in school I spend a lot of my time searching on Youtube -I still doing it-  eruption of volcanos! Saw the lava flowing (even trought (WW) a screen) it's amazing sensation. And this year, for first (SM) in my life I arrived to the crater of one of the many volcanoes we have in Chile, The Chaitén volcano (that erupted in 2008).

I leave u this photo I found in a book, that in my opinion it's amazing cause shows the power of nature.

A special place in Santiago

hi english class

Today i'm going to talk about a special place in Santiago that i like to go. 

If there is a place in Santiago where i like to go is a centre of the city, where you can find many shops, museums, and you can see many kinds of street art and old and historical buildings.

The truth is the last time where i went there was a few months, because i really have many things to do of sunday, my prefer day to go there (because you can find less people and observe better the buildings and his many details), but i think I will go there soon.

I try to go with some friend or my boyfriend, sometimes in the morning for go to museums and see the old people to go there like a "dominical walk" (sometimes thinking in his lives), and other times in the afternoon walking around all streets appreciating different buildings on the place, take pictures, and have different kinds of conversation, until arrive to the Forestal Park and get an ice cream for the end come back our homes.

I don’t go there since march or april, but writing this I want to go there soon.

A Job I Would Like to Do

Hi English class,

Today I’m going to write about a job that I would like to do.

In my life, I don’t work so much… really I can’t call work, cause are a little things that I’m did with my family in the family’s store of nuts when I need money and if I remember once I work in a casting company receive the information of the people who postulate to the castings that doing there.   But whatever, I always think that I would like to work of photographer… I thought study this career some time ago but in this moment i don’t know what I really want. Now, I think that I wasn’t have so far, if I like so much my career, photography does not a bad idea and why?

Cause for me it’s a beautiful job where you can catch the little things that other people cannot see, and the edition of the pictures is a complement really important to do The final work it’s an important summary of details and techniques. I think that photography is a good job for me because since I was a child it’s an activity that always love to do, like go out and know the process in the earth too.

Really, I don’t know who inspires to me to think this… I believe that my father was, cause he always guides  to me to artistic way, and thanks he I know that I know of music, design, arts, paintings, etc.

PALEONTOLOGY

Hi, English III class, today I’m going to write about the subject I like study

When I was a child and I’m seven or eight years old, I know the paleontology. This is a type of subject relationated with the science and the history, principally with the animals and plants.

Apart to learn about the geological periods and the animals or plants that exist in this time, you had ground visits, and you can looking for some fossils.

My teacher was the actual in charge of the paleontology area of the museum of natural history and he teach a group of children many things retationated with the history and how the animals appear and how die, how you can find, where, etc. but too he teach how you can conservate the fossil that you find, the process who are used for can know the approximate age of the fossils that you find or the real paleontologists used with chemical and other things more dangerous for children between sever or thirteen years.

I like it because  it was a really god experience, I know so much about who makes the paleontologists and the geological ages, many kinds of animals who lived the world and when they lived, many kinds of dinosaurs with his scientific names or normal names, whatever. But something that I like so much it was the grounded visits where I found some marine fossils in the middle of the mountains, some petrified leaves or teeth of shark, but the most important was a petrified coral when I found it was completely.

A TV Programme you Watched as a Child

i had to write about this, a tv programme i watched as a  Child and i remember many programs, such as catdog, hey arnold, bananas en pijamas, etc. but one in special that sign my childhood was CASTELO RA TIM BUM.

This was a really freaky programme, it had a big castle with many floors, one big door and a group of children i don't remember how many are, but it was very funny.

The programme it was about a boy who lived with his uncle, who is a wich with her sister. the boy is wich apprentice. Without friends he make a spell for attract others children to the castle and the had supernatural friends inside the castle.

I see the TV programme, when i was three or four years until ten or eleven i don't remember so fine, but i enjoyed it because it was very strange, but not scared, and it's so attractive for me.

i think that something important that the Castelo Rá tim bum is the teaching and the good moments that it leave.

A country i would like visit

Hi English class

Today i'm going to write about a country that i would like visit: Greece.

Really I would like visit many places, but one in special is Greece. 

Why Greece? Well, it's a beautiful and historic country cradle of the western civilization and this make for me, a place that I will have to go someday in my life.

 One of many things why i'm like to go there someday, is for the many and amazing landscapes, the different kinds of architecture and the history in every place where you visit, three things that I like and make so much interest for me.

When I will go to Greece, really i don’t care with who, cause is so amazing that I think that everyone want to go there (friends, family, boyfriend or people that I know there, etc) I will be fine and happy… but thinking fine, I’d like to go someone I have regard for remember with love and not alone.

Of Greece, I’d like to visit principally Athens, Santorini and all history, mythological and amazing places, first for the constructions that are resist a lot of years and second for the beautiful natural and urban landscapes.

In the pictures you can see the two principally places that I like visit.

Outdoor Activity

Hi English class

Today i'm going to write about an outdoor activity or more than one that I’m like doing. 

My family are not so much athletic, but always they try do something like play football, ride a bike or the best that we can do: walk.

Always, fine not always but every time we can, we go out near of Santiago (like a Cajon del Maipo, countryside like San Vicente or the beach) and come back home the same day, but the object is see another landscapes, animals, walk, do some picnic, whatever.

 Realize outdoor activities i think is one of many reasons that I’m study geography. I like go out with my family, friends, boyfriend, etc. since look the sky in a park near home until walk many kilometers. I think that is a good idea for disconnect of the city and appreciate the nature and take pictures. 

The principally things are have time and enjoy whatever that you like do.

Natural Place

Hi English class 

Today i'm going to write about a Natural Place i visited last summer,

Finish Gray glaciar

 this place was the Torres del Paine National Park.

The National Park is located in the region of Magallanes, 'near' of Puerto Natales a little town that you can get to know walking in a few minutes.

With my boyfriend realized a circuit called 'O circuit', and his name is cause you do an 'o' around the park walking near of 140km, we stay there for ten days taken one for rest. 

Doing the circuit we started very tired, we don't know nothing and said ' where we met?!?!? or what are we doing??? but in the second trekking we have an unique option and this was walk and walk whatever, with wind (and really wind around 170km/h), rain, snow, and mud, and like this was EVERY DAY. But we get used to walk with this weather and we did many friends and we mutual helped.

Sincerely, in the fist of the nine trekking i don't enjoy nothing, but later i don't have another option, and the total desconection, the landscapes whitout human intervention, the many glaciers and really big glaciers that you can see all the trekkings and something that i don't enjoy but i don't foget NEVER was walked with 20kg in my backpack.

When we finished the circuit we believed 'we are inmortal' and we don't know explain how we started so bad, we think ' when we started we don't know nothing' or 'now i'm go walking at university' etc.

Something i think it's important is carry many plastic bags (cause the rain wet ALL the things that you take in the backpack and ALL that you are wearing), a really good tent and a really god sleeping bag.

A SONG I LIKE TO LISTENING TO AT THE MOMENT

   Today i write about a song i like listening to at the moment and all the moments...
 this song is Under Pressure by Queen and David Bowie.

This song i like to listen in everywhere and all the moments, when i'm happy, tired, when i go to home or go to training, etc. the true is every song by queen i like to listen everywhere.

I don't remember the first time that i heard it, but i think when i was three or four years old, and then i listen it for the rest of my life, seems than others songs by the band.

How i linstened Queen almost all my life i think that is a pleasure gained or bequest by my parents and i remember the song too, with the theacher's post about David Bowie a singer that i like to listen too.

Come back to Queen, i think another thing that they like me, it was for the incredible voice of Freddy Mercury and how he enjoyed the stage with his big teeth and his special and particular dance and yellow jacket or the hair of Brian May.

Well, i think it's a really good band (that in my home all like to listen and sing), but now whitout Freddy it doesn't the same.

INTRODUCTION

             I'm Camila, but everybody know me by my second name Josefa, i'm 20 years old and i study geography at Universidad de Chile since 2014.

                  

               In my free time i like listen to music and play tennis or handball, but lately i dedicate more time to play handball than others sports.

             Sometimes i work in a nuts store, but it depend of my free free time and if i need money for something.
